Until now we only heard about noise cancellation technology in headphones and earphones. However, Google is planning to bring this in its Google Meet team video conferencing software. The aim here, as expected, is to cut the background noise that might be coming while a user is speaking, something that makes it difficult to understand for other listeners. This tech is not new as Google announced it back in April. However, what's new is that it is now rolling out to users in India.

The news comes from a Google Meet support page that now mentions noise cancellation rolling out to Australia, Brazil, India, Japan, and New Zealand in the coming weeks." Also confirmed is that this feature won't reach users in “South Africa, UAE, and the immediately surrounding areas.” There's no reason explained for this.
