More than 100 games are coming to Google Stadia in 2021
Earlier, the company had said that it would bring over 400 games to its cloud-based game streaming service in 2021.
Google earlier this month announced that it was shutting down its in-house game-development for Stadia, Stadia Games and Entertainment. The news cast a shadow as to what the future held for Google's game streaming service. Now, days later the company has finally shed some light in this regard.
Google has said that it planned to launch more than 100 games to the Stadia store for its players in 2021.
Earlier, the company had said that it would bring over 400 games to its cloud-based game streaming service in 2021. Google Stadia's Director of Games Jack Buser in an interview with MobileSyrup had said that 400 new games from 200 developers were in tow for Stadia in 2021.
Now, the company has revised that figure to 100. Google, apart from revealing the number of games coming to Stadia this year also revealed the games that will be coming to the Stadia store in the coming weeks and months. Google also shared the exact launch dates of these games.
The list includes Shantae: Half-Genie Hero Ultimate Edition that will be released on February 23, Shantae: Risky's Revenge - Director's Cut that will be released on February 23, It Came From Space And Ate Our Brains that will be released on March 2, FIFA 21 that will be launched on March 17, Kaze and the Wild Masks that will be launched on March 26, Judgment that will be launched on April 23.
Apart from these games, Google will also be releasing Killer Queen Black, Street Power Football, and Hellpoint on Stadia gaming platform. These games are listed as ‘coming soon' on the platform. In addition to these, Stadia will also get games such as Far Cry 6, Riders Republic and Hello Engineer later this year.
