Xbox Series X games event to take place on July 23

Microsoft is expected to showcase exlcusive Xbox Series X titles like Halo Infinite at this event.

Microsoft announced it will host its Xbox Series X games event on July 23. The company is expected to showcase games by its Xbox Game Studios exclusively for the Xbox Series X console.

The Xbox Series X games event is scheduled to start at 9:00 am PT which would be 9:30 pm IST for viewers in India. Microsoft has already revealed confirmed titles for the Xbox Series X but we're yet to see more detailed footage of exclusive titles. Some of these include Halo Infinite which had a short teaser released a few weeks back.

Microsoft has a total of 15 Xbox Game Studios now. It recently acquired more developers adding to its growing list of Xbox Game Studios. The most recent was Psychonauts 2 developer Double Fine which Microsoft acquired last month.

Microsoft will also include an ‘Optimized for Xbox Series X' badge this year with native Xbox Series X titles and existing games as well. This badge indicates that the games have been optimised to take advantage of the Xbox Series X hardware than other games.

Microsoft would have had this Xbox Series X games event at the now cancelled E3 gaming conference. Sony has already held its PS5 event last month where it unveiled games coming to its gaming console later this year. Sony PS5 product pages have also gone live on Amazon India and Flipkart with a “late 2020” release date. There's no confirmation of the Xbox Series X launching in India this year yet.
