Realme GT Neo Flash Edition set to launch on May 24

Here’s what we know about the new version of the GT Neo handset. 

Realme is rumoured to be working on a new smartphone under the small GT lineup. Dubbed as Realme GT Neo Flash Edition, the handset is said to come with better battery features than the GT Neo. New leaks claim the GT Neo Flash Edition will launch on May 24.

According to GSMArena, Realme has announced it will host an event in China on May 24. The company has not disclosed which device it will launch, but rumours say it will be the GT Neo Flash Edition.

As mentioned earlier, the GT Neo Flash Edition will come with a 65W fast charger. The battery size is likely to remain the same as the main GT Neo, which houses a 4,500mAh battery with 50W fast charge support.

The rest of the specifications of the phone is likely to remain the same. In case you did not know, Realme GT Neo had launched in China recently. The smartphone features MediaTek Dimensity 1200 processor. It is available in 6GB + 128GB, 8GB + 128GB, and 12GB + 256GB RAM and storage capacities. On the software front, it runs on Android 11.

The smartphone has a 6.43-inch Samsung Super AMOLED full-HD+ screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and 91.7% screen to body ratio. For photography, the handset offers a combination of a 64-megapixel Sony IMX682 primary sensor (f/1.8), an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor (f/2.3, 119-degree FoV) and a 2-megapixel macro camera with f/2.4 aperture. It also packs a 16-megapixel selfie camera housed in a punch-hole cutout with an f/2.5 aperture.

Realme has not yet disclosed when it will launch the GT Neo and GT Neo Edition in other markets. According to reports, the upcoming X7 Max in India will be the repackaged GT Neo.
