Samsung starts rolling out One UI 3.1 update for Galaxy S20 FE
One UI 3.1 update comes with the February 2021 security patch, and a bunch of features for the Galaxy S20 FE.
Samsung has started rolling out the One UI 3.1 update for Galaxy S20 FE. This makes Galaxy S20 FE one of the first Samsung phones to receive the latest software update, even before the Galaxy S21 series.
One UI 3.1 update is first rolling out to Galaxy S20 FE 5G users in Europe, Sam Mobile reported. This includes the Netherlands, Belgium, Greece, Romania, Spain, Germany and more. Galaxy S20 FE users in these regions can check for the new update by going to Settings > System updates > Check for system updates.
The latest One UI 3.1 update comes with the February 2021 security patch and a bunch of features including some from the Galaxy S21 series. This update lets Galaxy S20 FE users remove location data from photos. It also brings the ability to add effects in third-party video calling apps.
One UI 3.1 also brings Google Discover on the home screen. Samsung has also improved the image quality when zoomed in low light with this update. In the gallery, it has added the view remastered picture feature. This update also brings support for image analysation to find the optimum resolution, brightness, colour and sharpness, and also recommend optimised images.
More features include the ability to extract the date and address from the event title and recommend automatic registration. Users will also receive notifications from SmartThings devices that also have specified schedule notifications.
