It was an interesting day in the world of technology today. On one hand, Amazon blocked Parler from AWS. On the other hand, we got to know that WhatsApp's group chat data is available on Google. In addition to that, Google Maps got a 2020 Timeline update.

Amazon removes Parler from AWS

After Google and Apple, Amazon removed Parler from its Amazon Web Services (AWS) saying the service had not taken adequate measures to prevent the spread of posts inciting violence in light of the US Capitol riots.

Alexa gets ‘Tell Me When' skill

Amazon has rolled out “Alexa, tell me when..” skill to Alexa. It will notify users when a particular event takes place along with more detailed background information.

Microsoft Teams is getting a new Dynamic View feature

New reports indicate that Microsoft will be rolling out a feature called Dynamic View in Teams. This feature will enable users to share content side-by-side with others.

Google Maps gets 2020 Timeline update

Google Maps has started sending out a ‘2020 Timeline Update' to its users via an email. The idea is to give users a recap of all the places where they have visited in the year of pandemic, along with some additional information. 

WhatsApp group info visible on Google Search

Some WhatsApp groups have started showing up on Google Search, which means that anyone can discover and join a private WhatsApp group simply by looking for it on Google.
