In the world of consumer technology, today was full of launches. We not just saw some flagship products coming out such as the GoPro Hero9 or Bose's first ever QC31 II Gaming Headphones but also Honor's first ever Hunter gaming laptop, Fujifilm's Square Q1 cameras and Amazon's smart plugs. Among other launches was Titan's contactless payment analogue watch. So, here is a quick tech wrap of today.
GoPro Hero9 with 5K resolution video recording feature launched at Rs 49,500
GoPro has launched the 9th-generation of its Hero action camera, the GoPro Hero9 Black. Priced at Rs 49,500 in India, the camera will be coming in October. There are some mods as well. The Media Mod for Hero9 Black costs Rs 8,400 while the Display Mod costs Rs 6,900 and Light Mod is priced at ₹4,700.
Bose launches its first-ever ‘hybrid' QC35 II gaming headphone
This year we have already seen JBL enter the gaming headphone market. Now, Bose has also launched its first ‘hybrid' gaming headphone. It is the more of a gamer's version of QC35 II that comes with a detachable noise-rejecting boom microphone module.
Titan launches five new contactless payment analogue watches in India
Keeping pandemic and social distancing as the focus, watch maker Titan has launched five new models in India. These are not smartwatches but still come with a ‘smart' feature – contactless payment. The firm has partnered with State Bank of India to make this happen.
Honor debuts in the gaming laptop segment with Hunter V700 laptop
Introduced at Honor Smart Life conference held in Beijing, China, this new gaming laptop is priced at RMB 7499 (roughly Rs 81,500) for the base model. This comes with intel 10th-gen processor, Nvidia GPUs and is touted for light weight.
Fujifilm India launches the Square SQ1, priced at Rs 10,999
This new addition to Fujifilm's instant camera range is an analog, square camera and it creates square format instant prints that are 1.5 times the size of its Instax mini counterparts.
Infinix Note 7 launched in India, priced at Rs 11,499
Transsion Group on Wednesday announced the launch of a new smartphone under its Infinix brand. Called Infinix Note 7, the smartphone will be available on Flipkart at ₹11,499. It will be available in Aether Black, Forest Green and Bolivia Blue colour options.
‘Alexa, turn off the fan', Amazon launches Smart Plug in India
Amazon on Wednesday announced the launch of its smart plug in India. The Alexa-enabled smart plug allows you to control select appliances through voice commands. Priced at ₹1,999, the Amazon Smart Plug is available via the e-commerce platform starting today.
