2/5 Neptune is deemed an ice giant due to the chemical makeup of its interior. Compared to the gas giants, Jupiter and Saturn, Neptune is much richer in elements heavier than hydrogen and helium. (Nasa)

3/5 The brightness in the JWST's portrait of Neptune appears because it's filtered by the telescope's infrared lenses. (Nasa)

4/5 That’s not all, Webb also captured seven of Neptune's 14 known moons. A very bright point of light seen in Webb’s images is Neptune's large and unusual moon, Triton. It is covered in frozen, condensed nitrogen and reflects 70% of the sunlight that hits it. That’s why it appeared very bright to Webb. (Nasa)

5/5 Neptune planet was discovered in 1846 and since then it has always fascinated researchers. The planet is located 30 times farther from the Sun than Earth and hence, its orbits are in the remote, dark region of the outer solar system. According to Nasa, the Sun is so farther from Neptune that high noon is similar to a dim twilight on Earth. (NASA, ESA, CSA, STScI)

A solar eclipse is on way this month! Know all details (Pixabay)

This month, skywatchers will be blessed with a mesmerizing view of the Sun that will appear as if a huge bite has been taken from it. All thanks to the upcoming partial solar eclipse. During will be a partial solar eclipse as the moon and the sun will not be perfectly aligned. That means the moon will not completely cover the sun. As a result, the sun will appear in a crescent shape. The partial solar eclipse date is October 25.

An eclipse occurs when the Earth, sun, and moon are aligned in such a way that one celestial body casts its shadow on the other. Particularly in a solar eclipse, the moon comes between the Earth and the Sun, and its shadow moves across the Earth's surface. And a total solar eclipse occurs when the moon is just the right distance away from the Earth in such a way that it completely covers the Sun.

When and where partial Solar eclipse will occur

On Tuesday, October 25, 2022, just six days before Halloween, you will be able to witness the partial solar eclipse, which will be visible in the northern hemisphere. That means, people from Africa, Asia, Europe, and Guernsey in the United Kingdom and at the most extreme north pole and Russia will be able to catch a glimpse of the partial solar eclipse. Sadly, it won't be visible in the US on October 25.

When exactly will you be able to watch the solar eclipse? A space. com report suggests that it will be occurring between around 5 a.m. and 9 a.m. EDT when around 82 percent of the sun's disk will be covered by the moon's shadow at the maximum point of the event, which is known as the point of the central eclipse. However, from Russia, the eclipse will be 80 percent, while this proportion will drop to 70 percent in China, and 63 percent in Norway.

How to watch the Solar eclipse

You should never look at the sun through unaided eye or even binoculars and a telescope without special filters and that applies to solar eclipses. Your regular spectacles are not enough, you should use solar viewing or eclipse glasses to enjoy the view of the solar eclipse. If it is not available, you can use the famous and traditional pin-hole projector.
