Nintendo Switch games download issue: Company scrambles to fix widespread issues caused by recent firmware update
Nintendo Switch games download issues has reportedly been fixed by the company after widespread complaints online - the company managed to sort out the issue without requiring a firmware upgrade.
Nintendo Switch games download issue: Nintendo Switch is one of the most popular gaming consoles, which works as a hybrid portable handheld gaming device as well as a home gaming console, and there is no doubt that Nintendo's popular console has changed gaming forever. While Nintendo's gaming console offers several engaging games, users occasionally run into problems with downloading or installing content on the platform. The company was forced to scramble after reports started filtering in that gamers were experiencing download issues after installing the recently issued 12.0.3 firmware update. The company has now reportedly fixed the issues.
According to Nintendo Wire, several users took to Twitter and Reddit last week to vent their frustration with the alleged download issues on version 12.0.3 of Nintendo Switch that was released earlier this month. Users trying to download the latest patches and updates were met with an error screen, which simply stated that “an error had occurred” and asked users to refer to the Nintendo Support website. The error code – 2153-1502, was posted on Twitter and Reddit, but it appears that the popular console creator has fixed the issue without pushing out another firmware update.

While the report states that the download issues stem from the recently issued Nintendo Switch 12.0.3 firmware update that was released on June 7, there is no evidence that the issue was caused by the update. In the meanwhile, Nintendo Switch users managed to find a few stopgap fixes, such as downloading over an Ethernet connection, according to the report. Nintendo has not yet issued a statement, but according to the report, the company has already fixed the download issues faced by users on their consoles – without requiring a full firmware update.

Be that as it may, it looks like the Nintendo Switch games download issue has been sorted for users and content from Nintendo eShop is available now, according to the report. Older downloads that were reportedly stuck since last week have also reportedly resumed downloading on devices that were affected by the issue.
The report also suggests that Nintendo Switch could issue another firmware update next week, which could also help sort out any lingering issues and ensure that downloading content works as intended in the future.
