It is not for sure if the company will reveal the price and exact launch details of the console or not.

Sony has already unveiled its PlayStation 5 along with specifications. However, the last time when it showcased the hardware and the design, it was nothing more than a glimpse of what’s there to come. So, the Japanese tech and gaming firm is now holding a special PlayStation 5 event on September 16, a day after Apple’s event, to talk in detail about the console. The PS5 event is scheduled to take place at 1 pm PT (1:30am IST, September 17).

The invite in the company’s blog posts states that “Our next digital showcase will weigh in at around 40 minutes, and feature updates on the latest titles from Worldwide Studios and our world-class development partners.”

It is not for sure if the company will reveal the price and exact launch details of the console or not.

That said, Microsoft has just announced the price of its upcoming Series X and Series S consoles. The machines will be hitting the Indian market starting November 10 and the pre-order will begin September 22. The Series X is priced at Rs 49,990 while the Series S costs 34,990. Many believe the price of the PS5 will be almost the same if not more. However, our guess is as good as anyone else.

Last month, Sony opened online registrations to pre-book the PlayStation 5 from PlayStation directly. But you can only do so if you have an invite. According to the announcement, there will be a limited quantity of PS5 consoles available for pre-order this holiday season and the invitation program is a chance for existing PlayStation customers to try their luck at being able to order the PlayStation 5 console first.
