Google will now show health and safety precautions taken up by hotels and homestays. It will also alert users of Covid-19 checkpoints and restrictions along their route. Google Travel has been showing Covid-19 restrictions whenever you look up places on Search. It has now added information of health and safety precautions that are available in hotels or homestays. This new bit of information can be found under the about section of the property. Google plans to add more health and safety information while businesses can update their profiles through Google My Business. Google will also notify you about Covid-19 checkpoints and restrictions that are on your route. This can be helpful for people driving to another city, state or country. It will also show alerts from local transit agencies for those taking public transportation. Information on transit services, or requirements like wearing a mask will be alerted by Google. There’s also a Covid layer in Google Maps to get quick information on Covid-19 cases in the area. Also read click here. It will soon introduce a new “Trips” feature in Google Maps to see your past vacations with details like places you visited, total kilometers traveled and even the mode of transport used. This feature will be available on Google Maps for Android. Google is also bringing Timeline to the map view on Photos so you can see the paths you took while hiking or driving down somewhere.
