Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) hosted its 43rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) today. The event saw the company giving its shareholders and other people a report of all the things that the company had achieved in the past one year, which includes attaining debt-free status using a series of deals over a span of twelve weeks.

In addition to that the company also gave us a glimpse of its future plans including the launch of Jio Glass and 5G deployment.

Google invests ₹33,737 crores in Jio Platforms

Google invested a sum of ₹33,737 crores in Jio Platforms for a 7.77% stake in the company. In addition to this, the two companies have collaborated over developing a low-cost 4G smartphone and an Android-based OS for the country. 

Reliance launches Jio Glass

RIL launched Jio Glass at the 43rd AGM today. Jio Glass uses mixed reality to enable users perform tasks such as made conference calls, share presentations and study virtually.

Reliance Jio shares 5G roadmap

RIL also shared its roadmap for deployment of 5G solutions in the country. RIL chairman and MD Mukesh Ambani said that the company had developed native 5G solutions and that it was ready to deploy the technology as soon as 5G spectrum is distributed in the country.

Xiaomi launches Redmi 9 series smartphones

Xiaomi today launched its Redmi 9 series smartphones. The Redmi 9 series consists of Redmi 9, Redmi 9C and Redmi 9A and they come with a starting price of EUR 99 ( ₹8,511 approximately).

Xiaomi hosts Global Ecosystem Product Launch event

Xiaomi hosted Global Ecosystem Product Launch event today. At the event, the company launched a bunch of new devices which includes Mi Smart Band 5, 34-inch Mi Curved Gaming Monitor, Mi TV Stick, Mi True Wireless Earphones 2 Basic and Mi Electric Scooter Pro 2.
